The English Prince and the Ming Empire: A History of Colonial Expansion

[Global colonization + changing history] [Political intrigue] [Passionate] [Struggle for supremacy] [Blood and iron] [No System] A modern man with a background in science and engineering transmigrates and opens his eyes to find himself a British prince, in control of two major colonial estates in North America, yet his heart aches for the declining Ming Dynasty!

In the waning years of the Wanli Emperor's reign, factional strife plagues the court, the Later Jin watches from the shadows, and Japanese pirates harass the borders. The Ming is already beset by internal and external crises, its troubles too deep-rooted to undo!

The ministers are helpless, and the furious Wanli curses up a storm. Wearing a Western velvet robe, the newcomer stuns the imperial court with his fluent Chinese:

“Your Majesty, I can save the Ming!”

He introduces sweet potatoes and corn to end famine across the land, upgrades flintlock guns to strengthen the Ming army, and builds ocean-going treasure ships to expand overseas territory!

He gives up his title as a British prince and helps the Tianqi Emperor restore the realm. With one hand, he quells the Donglin factional struggle and eliminates the Later Jin threat. With the other, he leads troops overseas to colonize the world!

The countries of the Indochinese Peninsula bow in submission, Indonesia's spices all belong to the Ming, India's fertile land lies open for cultivation, Australia and New Zealand become granaries for China, and the Ming crushes Britain, France, and Spain in the struggle for the Americas!

From a fallen British heir to a Ming regent marquis, from colonial estate owner to founding pioneer of global expansion, Edward stands beside the Dragon Throne and surveys the realm:

“The Ming must rule more than the Nine Provinces. It must rule the whole world!”
