Passion Ablaze

On the day Feng Xi, the only surviving direct descendant of the Phoenix Clan, was born, rosy clouds filled the sky. Her companion divine artifact, the Seven Emotions Jiaowei Zither, appeared, foretelling that she must endure the tribulation of the seven emotions before she can be reborn from the ashes.

Until she turned five hundred, she was the clan’s pampered little rascal, leaping and bounding about and throwing the Phoenix Clan into chaos. Yet her pretty face and pure heart made the entire clan indulge her without limit.

The day her bloodline awakened, golden flames engulfed her and her phoenix cry shook the nine heavens. She became a once-in-a-millennium talent of the Phoenix Clan, admired by all, while the threads of fate quietly wound around her.

The tribulation of the seven emotions begins. Love, hate, anger, and obsession follow one after another as the Three Realms shift and the forces of immortals and demons clash. When the strings of the Jiaowei Zither stir, will they play a triumphant song of peace, or a tragic lament for a tribulation of love too difficult to overcome?

The pampered phoenix of the clan will one day stand with her zither and find her own path to rebirth through the purgatory of the mortal world.
