Hold the City and Use the Yehe to Destroy Nurhaci

After the Battle of Fushun, I was appointed by the emperor to raise an army and attack Nurhaci. I decided to use the strategy of Ming Chengzu Zhu Di: “Divide his branches, weaken his strength, and let them fight and feud among themselves, so China may enjoy peace.” I held my ground and avoided battle, while vigorously supporting the Yehe tribe. This would take time, and along the way, both officials and the emperor had their doubts. But once the Yehe grew powerful, they completely wiped out Nurhaci and submitted to the Ming Dynasty. I took various measures to ensure that the Yehe came fully under Ming control and could not grow stronger.
