When the Wutong Leaves Fell, My Old Friend Was Nowhere to Be Found

[Some Cracks Can't Be Mended] [Reunion After Years Apart] [Wife-Chasing Crematorium] [Male Lead Gets Put Through the Wringer]

Three years ago, one line from Fu Guidu, "Don't wait for me,"

snuffed out every last bit of Ruan Zhinan's affection for him.

She cried until she broke down. He left for a distant land, never to be heard from again.

Three years later, they meet again.

He is the powerful Mr. Fu,

and she is a cool-headed, razor-sharp top lawyer.

Fu Guidu grabs her with red-rimmed eyes. "Zhinan, I was wrong. Give me one more chance."

Ruan Zhinan pulls free, her voice cold:

"Mr. Fu, you were the one who didn't want me. Don't come near me now."

Later, everyone knows

that the woman-averse Mr. Fu is chasing his wife like a madman,

waiting outside her law firm, dealing with her problems, and swallowing his pride,

just hoping she'll turn around and look at him once.

Ruan Zhinan only smiles faintly:

"The paulownia leaves have all fallen, and the one I knew is long gone.

Fu Guidu, once a mirror is broken, it can never be made whole again."

The southern breeze knows what I feel.

This time, I won't wait for someone to return. I'll wait for myself.
