[Period setting + military marriage + sweet romance + both devoted to each other + raising a child + intense romantic tension]
Jiang Wanwan transmigrates into the body of a young widow in a military compound. She’s delicate and soft, and she’s pregnant, too.
The organization assigns Lu Zhan, the “Living Hell” who lives across the hall, to look after her.
Who is Lu Zhan? The toughest regiment commander in the whole military district, with muscles hard as iron. The things he hates most in life are women crying and looking after children.
When they first meet, Lu Zhan scowls. “Don’t cause me trouble. Stay away from me.”
Later
In the dead of night, Jiang Wanwan’s cries of pain come from next door. Lu Zhan kicks down the door, sees her snow-white calves cramping, and kneels beside the bed, ears red, massaging them all night.
Later still
A pipe bursts in the bathroom, soaking Lu Zhan from head to toe. His tight undershirt outlines his powerful muscles. Jiang Wanwan blushes and her heart races, but Lu Zhan corners her against the wall and says hoarsely, “Sister-in-law, had enough of looking? Want to touch?”
The whole compound waits for Lu Zhan to kick out this “troublesome mother and child.” Instead, they see Regiment Commander Lu holding the baby in one arm and wrapping the other around her waist, glaring as he fiercely protects them. “This is my wife and son. Let me catch anyone gossiping about them!”
