Journey to the West: I Disband the Heavenly Court from the Start

Chen Zijing transmigrates into the primordial world and becomes the puppet Jade Emperor appointed by the Six Saints.

At his enthronement ceremony, the immortals filling the hall treat him as if he doesn’t exist and turn to leave for the day.

As the whole court jeers at him, a voice booms in his mind:

[Choice One: Swallow your anger. Reward: a thousand years of life]

[Choice Two: Curry favor with the sages. Reward: ten thousand years of life]

[Choice Three: Tear up the Investiture of the Gods and disband the Heavenly Court. Reward: Mythic Great Encompassing Golden Immortal cultivation]

“I choose three!”

He tears up the Investiture of the Gods in front of everyone, shaking the Heavenly Dao and enraging the sages!

Yuanshi Tianzun appears in person: “You insolent brat, how dare you!”

The Tongtian Cult Leader’s sword cleaves through the sky: “Touch him? Ask my Immortal Slaying Sword!”

Just when everyone thinks he is merely a pawn of Tongtian

The God of the Land he casually appoints kills Manjushri Bodhisattva with a single strike of his tablet.

The Divine Judge Yang Jian, whom he empowers, cuts down the Buddhist Dragon-Subduing Arhat with one slash.

Smiling at the trembling Taibai Jinxing, he says, “What are you afraid of? If the Heavenly Court falls apart, I’ll rebuild it better.”

Later, as the Journey to the West tribulation approaches, a Buddhist sage smiles as he lays out his plans: “Your Majesty, please play along and crawl under a table. That’s all.”

Chen Zijing brings out the Mythic Investiture of the Gods, with three thousand mythic gods standing behind him.

“Play along? I’d like to see whether your Buddhadharma is boundless, or my heavenly laws are harder!”
