The Leading Stock Strategy: A Regretful Dragon's Descent

Preface

This is a book about my failure.

Amid the clamor of the 2024 bull market, I lost 90 percent of my principal in just three months. It wasn't a bear market or a stock market crash. It happened during a frenzy when everyone was talking about getting rich.

I studied every leading-stock strategy and chased every stock that hit its daily limit, yet forgot that the real “dragon” I needed to subdue was within me: the demons of greed and fear. I watched every fluctuation on the charts late into the night and heard countless stories of people striking it rich. But by the time dawn broke, the money I had painstakingly saved was gone from my account, and I had nearly lost the joy in my life and my family's trust as well.

Only after I emptied my account did I truly understand what “regret after subduing the dragon” meant. True regret isn't failing to catch the leading stock. It's forgetting to live with both feet on the ground while chasing illusions.

This book isn't here to teach trading strategies. It's here to lay bare a real and painful journey astray. May my scars be a small light to guide you on your way.

A steady stream will eventually reach the sea.
