Across the Sea to America

In the eighteenth year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty, a graduate student of history transmigrates into Jiang Ruohai, a Fujian naval general who has fallen victim to a plot. To escape danger, he joins forces with the merchant Shen Wantang and leads the people across the sea to the Americas to open up new lands. Facing pirates, storms, and countless other perils on their voyage, he combines modern knowledge with ancient methods to overcome each crisis. At last, he puts down roots in the Americas, establishes laws and institutions, and cultivates a new home, writing a legend of Chinese people forging new territories overseas.
