The story follows Lin Jiashu and several classmates through their three years of high school. Lost and unsure of himself when he first starts high school, Lin Jiashu gradually finds his place in the class through self-deprecating humor and the support of his friends. Song Yuhan seems cold on the outside but is warm-hearted underneath, and she and Lin Jiashu gradually become confidants amid jokes and arguments. Li Chenyi helps his teammates through their troubles, and after the two of them face family difficulties and academic pressure, they become even more determined to pursue their goals. Zhao Ruocheng and Hu Ruifeng witness their class grow, weathering conflicts and making amends along the way. Teacher Zhou offers guidance and encouragement.
