Gentle Little Jasmine × Mad Guardian
Mutual firsts, happy ending, no melodrama, intense push and pull, everyone is unhinged
Jasmine had a dream.
She drove as fast as she could to escape, only to plunge into a river and drown.
The only person who appeared in the dream was named Jiang Xi.
When she woke up, she decided to stay as far away as possible from the man named Jiang Xi.
But he was everywhere:
At lectures, outside the school gates, in coffee shops, on the pedestrian street.
He slipped her sketches into his pocket and set her artwork as his lock screen,
then pretended to be his cousin and sent her a message.
“Big Sis, why don’t you want me anymore?”
At the celebration banquet, he cornered her outside her room. She bit his lip, and he smiled as he said,
“Now we’re even.”
“Jiang Xi, I was nothing more than a passing fancy to you.”
“We don’t belong in the same world.”
“Let me go.”
She was stubborn, leaving him no room to maneuver.
He let go, watching the girl walk away without looking back.
He didn’t know
It wasn’t that she didn’t want to trust him.
For someone struggling to climb up from the abyss,
the greatest fear isn’t falling back down.
It’s having someone reach out a hand, only to let go.
