Synopsis

I successfully persuaded the Wanli Emperor to voluntarily abandon Beijing and move the capital to Wuhan. I also manipulated the Japanese forces from the Imjin War, Nurhaci’s Jianzhou troops, and the Mongol armies into fighting one another, weakening Nurhaci and the Mongols. Once the Japanese, Mongols, Jianzhou forces, and Joseon armies had all been weakened, I let the country recover and grow stronger in Wuhan. Then I assembled a massive army and successfully brought Joseon, Mongolia, Jianzhou, and Japan into our territory, forcibly relocating large numbers of Han Chinese there to create a vast empire. After sending out a fleet to discover the New World and making contact with Britain, we adopted a form of Neo-Confucianism infused with Christianity. Together, we led the Scientific and Industrial Revolutions, and the world ultimately became prosperous and powerful, with everyone giving thanks and praise for the gifts of Almighty God.

“From this day forward, all in the Great Ming, from emperors to commoners, must honor these principles: No marriage alliances! No reparations! No ceding territory! No tribute! The emperor guards the nation's gates; the sovereign dies with the realm!”

Interested in Ming Dynasty History. Any Books That Aren't Melodramatic or Historically Distorted?

No melodrama, no distortion of history, and preferably no authorial agendas slipped in. Rebirth and transmigration are both fine. Are there any interesting Ming dynasty novels that aren't ridiculously over-the-top?
