Great Ming: The Jinyiwei System, Trade Merit for Invincibility

I’m in the Jiajing era, and I’ve just become a low-ranking embroidered-uniform guard. My superior is shorting me on provisions and pay, while my colleagues frame me and try to send me to the imperial prison?

No need to panic! The [Embroidered Uniform Guard Advancement System] is bound to me. Every achievement earns merit points, which can be exchanged directly for peerless martial arts from across the heavens!

“Ding! Proved your innocence: +100 merit points. Exchanged for max-level basic saber techniques. One strike can sever the soul!”

“Ding! Solved a capital-city cold case: +1,000 merit points. Exchanged for Shadow-Killing Art. Take the enemy commander’s head amid a sea of troops!”

From an insignificant junior guard to the all-powerful Commander, I, Li Lin, am the fastest blade in all of Great Ming!

Yan Song wants to seize power? I’ll execute first and report later, with imperial authorization!

Jiajing wants to cultivate immortality? My merit is unmatched, and I can keep the whole world under my thumb!

Hai Rui arrives with his coffin to remonstrate. I, Li Lin, stand firm with my saber in hand: “From today on, I decide what happens in Great Ming. Who’s with me, and who’s against me?”

When Jiajing dies and the court officials tremble, I’ve already completed my merit and virtue. I leave with a peerless physician, destined to become an invincible legend throughout the martial world!
