In 2049 AD, the super city "New Eden". The cyborg Meshikin wakes up in an abandoned church, and the memory chip only retains the fragmented data of his predecessor - a philosopher who was executed for opposing the "Emotional Purification Act". With his pathological empathy for human beings' "excess emotions," he breaks into a society where rational algorithms rule everything. Here, love, pain, and faith are all treated as illnesses that need to be treated.
Myshikin meets two women marked as "abnormal" by the system: Nasta, who was once a top "emotional experiencer" and now bears the painful memories of all her clients due to system loopholes; and Aglaia, the daughter of the genius scientist who created the system, who is trying to prove that the algorithm can quantify the soul. Meshikin's innocence becomes a sharp blade that tears apart the appearance of perfection. The encounter of the three "patients" will reveal the bloodiest truth about this utopian city: the so-called purification is nothing but a cruel scam to transfer the dark side of human nature to a few "bearers".
