The protagonist, Lin Yuan, is unexpectedly reborn in the body of a fleeing foot soldier, only to be left behind as cannon fodder! Elite Eight Banner forces pursue him from the front. There are no provisions or reinforcements behind him. Lin Yuan's squad is like a chess piece abandoned on the board. But Lin Yuan knows history. He knows this defeat is only the beginning of three centuries of suffering for China! He refuses to accept his fate! So what if he's cannon fodder? Does that mean he can't win battles? Lin Yuan cannot bear to watch the land of China and his fellow Han people sink into three centuries of decline. He leads the remnants of his troops to fight with everything they have, vowing to reverse their fate and defy the heavens! Watch how he turns the tide, saves a crumbling empire, rescues the realm from disaster, repels the rebels within and fights the Later Jin beyond the borders! Hong Taiji: “If you run into Lin Yuan again, make sure to go around him. Understand?” Dorgon: “If Hong Taiji can't handle someone, I'll handle them. If he can't win a battle, I'll fight it. What? Our opponent is Lin Yuan? Forget I said anything!” Li Zicheng: “Who said rebellion was easier than farming? I want to farm, and none of you can stop me!” Chongzhen: “Come, come! I've already given you every reward I can. How about I give you the throne instead?”
