In the third year of the apocalypse, I discovered that I wasn't human.
I couldn't eat any food, and craved nothing but the flesh and blood of the living. My eyes were pure black, and all the "Infected" like me had become mindless monsters that knew only how to devour.
Then I found my first "Heavenly Treasure." At last, a glimmer of light seeped into my dim eyes.
I thought this was the beginning of my salvation, not knowing that I had long since been marked as an "Omega Specimen."
The eyes watching me from the shadows belonged to someone inside humanity's last great wall. And my "kindred," who, like me, cling to their sanity on the brink of madness, are being systematically hunted, imprisoned, and transformed.
Now they've come for me.
Should I keep pretending and eke out an existence under humanity's watch?
Or tear off my mask and fight this desperate world for the right to live as a human, on behalf of all the cursed "Strivers"?
A complete evolutionary system, slow-heating type. I hope to construct a relatively reasonable evolutionary ethics. I hope all readers will leave their comments if you like it or not, so that the author can better adjust, modify and optimize the plot.
