The Gu-Wielding Girl from the Sixties Is Looking for Her Dad, and Even Border Drug Lords Are Afraid

Su Ruanruan, the last inheritor of Miaojiang traditions, had just buried her master when her wicked adoptive mother sold her to human traffickers.

The five-year-old girl looked at the fierce men without a trace of fear. In a childish voice, she counted on her fingers: “Great luck! Good for traveling, good for finding Dad, and good for... sending bugs to bite the bad guys!”

Everyone thought she was an easy victim, but then...

The traffickers fell to their knees and begged: “Please, Your Majesty, take that poisonous scorpion away! I'll talk, I'll tell you everything!”

The enemy spies wept bitterly: “I was wrong! I'll never steal blueprints again. Just don't let ants crawl into my ears!”

With a little basket on her back and a few “sweethearts” left behind by her master tucked inside, Su Ruanruan set out to find her family in the 1960s.

Along the way, she witnessed famine that left the land strewn with corpses, and heroes who risked their lives without hesitation.

She used her gu magic to heal the sick and save lives, relied on feng shui and occult arts to avoid danger and attract good fortune, helped the police catch spies, and helped the collective protect its grain.

After countless hardships, little Ruanruan finally arrived at the train station in the capital.

Seeing the man in military uniform, his temples streaked with gray, she looked at him with tearful eyes, dropped the venomous snake in her hand, and opened her arms:

“Daddy, Ruanruan finally found you. It's been so hard for Ruanruan all this time...”

The steely soldier broke down in tears, and the whole nation mourned with him.
