Python Embryo

Lu Qingye has a pair of snake-like eyes that strike fear into all who see them. People at the forestry station whisper that he is a demon reborn.

Nineteen years ago, on a night of thunder, a giant green-scaled serpent was struck down by heavenly lightning. Its belly kept swelling and twitching until Master Qi boldly cut it open and pulled out a blood-soaked, barely breathing infant. He named him Qingye.

From that moment on, Lu Qingye was regarded as an ill omen. Only Master Qi connected him to this cold, indifferent world. His snake eyes could see the sinister, uncanny things ordinary people could not, and the blood coursing through his veins might not be human at all.
