The 65-year-old anonymous writer Wang Wenxuan and the 22-year-old drama graduate student Xia Yuhua met on the Beijing subway over a novel "You're So Good". He is the restrained mourner in the book, and she is the reader who weeps over it. A dialogue spanning ages, regions and life experiences begins: from email exchanges and discreet conversations in cafes, to reunions in Paris and fierce declarations in New York. She translated his words onto the stage, and he responded to her presence in the novel.
