The New Dream Team: A Female Security Guard and a Police Officer

Female lead Lin Xiaoman: A trainee security guard. She may seem a little dim, but she secretly possesses Taoist arts passed down through her family. She is the granddaughter of a Maoshan Taoist priest, strong enough to carry a gas cylinder, blunt and straightforward, and a master at putting people in their place. She has a secret crush on Lu Chen but refuses to admit it.

Male lead Lu Chen: A trainee police officer and the chief criminal investigator's nephew, though he doesn't know it himself. This is revealed later. He seems aloof but is actually socially anxious, with a remarkable talent for solving cases. After their bodies switch, he is forced to use Lin Xiaoman's body to act cute while solving cases, making the contrast all the more charming.

Soul swap: The swap is triggered when they come into contact with an antique jade pendant connected to “ghost soldiers passing through” during a robbery on a rainy night. They must solve seven cold cases together to get their bodies back. Each solved case earns them a piece of the jade pendant, and once they collect them all, the entanglements of their past lives are revealed. In their previous lives, one was a constable and the other a heroine; their souls became bound together after they died for love.
