My name is Lin Ye, and I am a street writer who makes a living by writing rules and strange stories.
Until I received an anonymous email, which contained only a yellowed theater ticket from the Republic of China and one line: "Come to Du'e Theater within seven days, otherwise the 'rules' you write will become your own way of death."
The moment I stepped into the theater, time in the entire city began to cycle on a seven-day cycle.
I wrote "Don't look in the mirror at twelve o'clock at midnight", and someone would see their own body in the mirror the next day; I wrote "Don't believe the woman in the red costume", and the shadow of the red costume would crawl onto my bed late at night.
To break the cycle, I must work with a group of survivors who all have their own agenda. But when we finally got closer to the truth, we discovered that the entire city's cycle was caused by a curse caused by an unfinished novel I wrote ten years ago.
The only way to break the curse is to rewrite the ending of the novel before the end of the seventh cycle - but once the ending is rewritten, all survivors will disappear in reality, including myself.
