Ruan Sishu is a serious face-con. Despite being extremely nearsighted, with a prescription over 600, he never got glasses because he wanted to look good. Then, after a little mishap, he decided to get a pair. Just as he was about to walk into the glasses shop, a strange voice popped into his head.
“Ding-dong! Your Wish System is now online. Please check it out!”
Ruan Sishu’s wish was simple: to regain his eyesight. The System said that was easy, but he’d have to complete missions to earn it.
All he had to do was win over a guy, right? Ruan Sishu tossed his shoulder-length hair. Easy.
But when he heard who he had to win over…
“Oh, I’m going to get glasses. Bye!”
Chi Xu: 190 cm, an athlete, a cool and aloof campus heartthrob, and famously hard to talk to. Even a homebody like Ruan Sishu knew about him. This mission wasn’t worth doing. He was out!
The System had finally found a Host and wasn’t about to let him go. In the end, it settled for letting him choose someone else, also a 190-cm athlete but much easier to approach than Chi Xu.
And so Ruan Sishu began his plan to win the guy over. But after a mistake, he got the wrong person and mistook Chi Xu for his target.
Ruan Sishu never suspected anything was wrong, until Chi Xu’s birthday. Thinking of himself as Chi Xu’s boyfriend, Ruan Sishu presented him with his most heartfelt gift, complete with a handwritten letter.
Chi Xu opened the letter right away, eager to see what his boyfriend had written. But as soon as he read the first line, his face darkened: “To my muse, Lu Feixu.”
