[All male leads are devoted to the heroine + Fierce competition for her + Expert-level schemer + Villainess's comeback]
(The heroine is sweet-tongued but hard-hearted, a brilliant actress, and puts her own interests first.)
Mu Yishan transmigrates into a wealthy-family novel as the villainous fake heiress who stole someone else's place. She opens her eyes in the middle of a divorce.
The System warns her coldly: In four months, the real heiress will crush you, and you'll die in the street.
Looking at her own peerless beauty in the mirror, she smiles. “Play the villainess? I'll take that role.”
So
First, she flings the divorce papers at her scumbag ex-husband. Then she makes a surprise appearance as a director at the rival conglomerate.
She cries in front of the media, eyes red, and expresses her remorse. Then she turns around and uses falsified accounts to halve her “birth family's” stock price.
Later, the whole city waits to see Mu Yishan make a fool of herself. Instead, they witness
The icy ex-husband she dumped clearing out an entire auction display, his eyes red as he begs her to get back together.
The gentle older brother who'd spoiled her rotten since childhood holding her in his arms. “You can never escape me.”
The ascetic CEO she's set her sights on kneeling to put on her shoes, willingly becoming the ladder that takes her to the top.
The rebellious top-tier star she's won over confessing his love to her at a concert before tens of thousands of fans.
Even the aloof, otherworldly pianist admits, making an exception: “She's the only one who understands my music.”
At the victory banquet, the real heiress's face twists with rage. “You stole everything from me!”
Mu Yishan swirls her wine, then tosses a coaster covered in men's names into the champagne tower.
“Wrong, little sister. I'm just here to take back what's mine.”
Below the stage, the men who once seemed untouchable gaze up at her, their eyes blazing with desire and obsession.
Mu Yishan lets her gaze linger, her red lips curling into a smile.
“What's the rush?”
“My fishpond isn't full yet.”
I just finished reading this modern novel that focuses on the growth of urban women. The overall narrative rhythm is tight and the characterization is very down-to-earth. It is indeed very interesting to read. However, I previously read the multi-line emotional foreshadowing at the beginning and thought that the plot would follow an open-ended Aquaman route, allowing the heroine to accept all the attractive targets that have appeared. Unexpectedly, at the end, I discovered that it is a 1v1 pure love setting. There is only one fixed male protagonist throughout the whole process, and other male characters are just passers-by to promote the female protagonist's growth 🤦
The heroine has a good personality
Finished reading! Quite pretty!
