Ancient Legend: Embers of the Star Core

Magic comes from “Starcore Aether,” and excessive use causes “Aether Corrosion.” The human-led “Holy Radiance Church” monopolizes aether extraction technology, claiming that “all magic not certified by the Church is heresy,” while concealing the truth: “the Starcore Aether is running dry.” The six races, humans, elves, dwarves, earth spirits, beast spirits, and the darkborn, are caught in a web of conflict over resources and the Church’s oppression.
