Taiyi's dialogue is a bit OOC in a few parts, but overall there's nothing wrong with it.
It's a bit fast to get the medal recognition later, but I feel good about it. You can't just write a big plot, right? People who come here to read fan fiction are not here to read this. I think it's a good choice to just mention this part in one go.
However, I personally recommend not to write too many worlds. Bankai is particularly easy to collapse. It is quite safe to write about the Digimon world later.
