In 2023, former U. S. Navy SEAL commander Lin Feng led a 12-member international elite mercenary team to Southeast Asia to perform a secret mission. During the flight, the plane encountered unknown space-time turbulence, and the crew accidentally traveled back to 1937, the early days of the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War in China. Facing the historical scene of national peril, these warriors from different countries - including American demolition expert Jack, Russian sniper Ivan, German former special forces Hans, Japanese fighting master Takeru Kobayashi, etc. - Went through ideological struggles and finally decided to intervene in this battle for national survival under the leadership of Lin Feng.
The team uses future military knowledge and skills to recruit anti-Japanese comrades and form the "Edge" special operations force. They are not simply crushing weapons generation differences, but while adapting to the limitations of the times, they have introduced special operations concepts, training systems and limited technological innovations into the battlefield.
