Great Ming: I Only Want to Do Research, but Xu Miaoyun Forces Me to Marry!

Zhu Gang, Prince of Jin of the Great Ming, seems like a dissolute prince who spends his days in the pleasure quarters of Qinhuai. In truth, he cares deeply about the realm and is secretly cultivating “potatoes” that could change the fate of the empire. To escape his betrothal to Xu Miaoyun, a “female scholar,” he tries every trick to disguise himself, only for her to storm his residence with a blade and give him a stern dressing-down. An absurd “forced marriage” farce accidentally reveals a shocking secret. When the young “Farmer King’s” dream meets the wisdom of a general’s daughter, and the toil of the fields collides with the power struggles of the court and battlefield, Xu Da and Zhu Gang, future father-in-law and son-in-law, form a “Potato Alliance.” Working together as ruler and subject, father and daughter, and husband and wife, they embark on a legendary journey to ensure no one in the realm goes hungry and to reshape the world.
