Zhong Kui in a Chaotic Age: I'm Zhu Wen's Big Brother!

In 2025, Gong Fuhu is a middle-aged lawyer going nowhere at a law firm in Binhai. Though he specializes in civil and commercial law, he takes the risk of defending a murder case to make ends meet, only to die a brutal death at the hands of a vengeful enemy. When he opens his eyes, he has transmigrated to the late Tang dynasty, into the body of Zhu Quanyu, the older brother of Zhu Wen who had just berated the tyrant at a banquet before meeting his end. From then on, a strange figure emerges in the chaotic Five Dynasties era. By day, he is an idle prince who steers clear of court politics and pursues immortality through Daoist cultivation, using the ancient Five-Animal Exercises to defy fate before faking his death in 916. By night, he becomes “Zhong Kui,” hunting down killers and taking revenge, wielding the blade of the law to cut down the wicked in this turbulent age and preserve a haven of light for the people.
