Lu Ren, an overworked young man, unexpectedly inherited the estate of a distant great-aunt. From then on, the gears of fate went wildly off course: the inheritance turned out to be an ancient Shan Hai boundary, home to a group of adorably transformed mythical beasts from the Classic of Mountains and Seas!
Taotie has a bottomless stomach. Hundun can never stay awake. And the many other little mythical beasts each have their own quirks...
Lu Ren is forced to become their caretaker. He has to hide their nonhuman identities and keep them from revealing their true forms and destroying the city when their emotions get out of control.
Is this hilarious urban fantasy a joke from ancient times or a trial set by fate? Watch Lu Ren outwit his adorable beasts!
