When Lin An wakes up, a bald, burly man is standing in front of him, and behind him lies the poorest slum in Limu Town. In his previous life, he was an ordinary office worker. In this one, he has become the Adventurers' Guild's lowest-ranked F-class rookie, the kind even goblins can chase around.
On the night he nearly dies, he awakens his one and only cheat ability: Skill Replication. He can learn any skill just by watching someone use it once. It sounds wonderful, but the rules are brutal: he can equip only three skills at a time, they only work at 80% power, and overusing his mental strength leaves him with a splitting headache.
So Lin An sets out on a most unusual path to becoming the strongest: before fighting monsters, he asks himself, "Which three skills should I bring this time?" If he can't win, he changes his loadout. And if he still can't win after that, he blows up the mine.
After blowing up the mine, he dodges the debt and flees to Silver Harbor with Alice, his swordsmanship instructor. Alice has a blonde ponytail and a sharp tongue but a soft heart. She never goes easy on him when she beats him up, but if anyone else picks on him, she's the first to draw her sword. Lina, a smiling receptionist at the Silver Harbor Guild, passes them some information and pushes up her glasses. "What will you trade for it?" Lin An learns later that this demure woman is a retired B-rank adventurer, and that her schemes run deeper than his life itself. Farther north, they run into Freya, a wild silver-haired girl who keeps shooting arrows even with a dislocated arm after taking on three ice wolves alone. Her first words after the fight are: "Do you want to have a baby with me?"
