A broken picture dragged Shen Yan into the center of the desert.
There is no "tomb" there, only the underground city that has been written down: the bridge is the ridge, the well is the throat, the palace is the belly; salt and ash demarcate the boundaries, oil marks wait for fire, and the things patrolling in the darkness obey some weird rules. Shen Yan and Shen Zhaoshuang were separated and dependent on each other in the throat. The deeper they went, the more they seemed to be walking into a fate that had been deliberately "archived" by someone - the body number, the torn note, the broken copper medal, all reminded them: this is not a treasure hunt, this is sealed.
What's even more frightening is that when foreign objects pounce, they are not afraid of light, only Shen Yan's face. It was as if the tomb knew him and was waiting for him.
Under the sea, the answer points to the same question: Who is the Eternal One? And which one of myself should "I" believe?
