Title: Zhenyi Ren Zhi (Late Zhen’s Feelings, Finally Known to Renyi) Pairing: Zhong Wanzhen x Renyi
Zhong Wanzhen is a clearheaded top student, first in her grade and nicknamed “Class Monitor.”
Renyi is a genius in Tsinghua University’s mathematics department, still as flamboyant as he was in high school.
Hidden in Zhong Wanzhen and Renyi’s youth is a truth that comes four years too late. This is a coming-of-age story of missed chances and reunion, regret and redemption.
During graduation season, Zhong Wanzhen carefully tucks her secret crush into a letter, only to see Renyi accept someone else’s confession before she can give it to him. She turns and flees in a panic, sealing away her feelings along with the letter. Naive Renyi only wanted to spare a classmate’s feelings on graduation day. He has no idea how he really feels, or what Zhong Wanzhen has kept secret.
Four years later, they meet again at a class reunion, and the long-delayed truth crashes over them like a surging tide. Overwhelmed with regret, Renyi embarks on the long road to winning her back. Awkward but sincere, he treats her well: cooking for her, picking her up after work, and protecting her with such care that he gradually melts the walls she has built around her heart over four years.
Zhong Wanzhen goes from resisting him to wavering, and with his encouragement, she finally awakens her long-dormant dream of becoming a novelist. She begins writing down the truest feelings of her youth. Meanwhile, she helps Renyi resolve his estrangement from his grandfather and reclaim the family affection he had lost.
This is a story of helping each other become better and growing together. He helps her find her dream again, and she helps him mend his family ties. After all their twists and turns, they are fortunate not to have lost each other completely. At last, as better versions of themselves, they make this long-delayed love a reality.
Although it's sad, I really recommend Secret Love as it's written so well.
Is the author trying to torture us CP fans to death? But the torture looks so good, I admit it!
It's good to read. I hope the author will update it during the National Day.
