No transmigration, no System. In the world of Pokemon, people train their partners using only the moves listed in the Pokedex. Lin Ye is an exception.
The child of an ordinary fishing family in Vermilion Harbor, he has no starter Pokemon, only a Furret he found. He has no System either. His greatest asset is the wild ideas in his head.
“Furret, your tail’s so big. What if you swing it with a bit of spin?” And so, “Whirlwind Tail,” a move that can whip up a small tornado, is born.
“Pidgey, when you dive, try tucking your wings back like you’re pulling on reins. Think you could stop suddenly?” And so, “Midair Braking,” a move that catches opponents off guard, comes into being.
“Krabby, use your claws like an anchor to hold yourself in place. Then the waves won’t sweep you away...”
He doesn’t seek out legendary Pokemon. Instead, he picks up the “ordinary” Pokemon everyone else overlooks. He doesn’t dream of conquering the League. He just wants to develop more “nonstandard” moves with his partners and see every corner of the world.
From a Furret that can whip its tail in a spin, to a Pidgey that can stop in midair, to a Krabby that can “anchor” itself against the waves, Lin Ye and his “Idea Squad” travel with their ride Pokemon, growing little by little on a journey full of the unknown. There are no world-shattering battles, only the sparks that fly from the bond between partners and the collision of their outlandish ideas, along with the warmth and adventure hidden in everyday life.
This is the story of an ordinary trainer who teaches Pokemon “new moves” with strange ideas, and travels the world with them.
