[Lighthearted and humorous + everyday life + affectionate father-daughter bond + absurd comedy + ensemble cast + political intrigue + deranged antics] Modern-day Xiao Congcong has had enough of her father’s every vice. She kills him with her own hands, gets struck by lightning, and transmigrates into the body of a young princess. Her ancient-world deadbeat of a father tries to pay off his gambling debts by selling her to the heir of a marquis who brings death to every wife and mother. To protect herself, she decides to turn ruthless ahead of schedule, picks up a whip, and puts on a show of “a loving father and filial daughter.” “You want to arrange my betrothal? Who do you think you are?” To put an end to future trouble, she ties her father to a carriage and takes him to the palace to “beg forgiveness.” On the way, her father frantically bangs his head against the carriage: “Daughter, don’t do anything rash! You’re allergic to eggs!” But Xiao Congcong eats one boiled egg after another, deliberately getting herself sent to the palace infirmary. The emperor is furious and immediately issues an order: “Princess, take charge of your father and straighten him out! Teach that deadbeat a proper lesson!” With the imperial decree in hand, she lets loose completely. Parrot porridge, feces-stuffed sausage soup, cricket meatballs... She serves him every last one of them. “Dad, does this feast make you sick enough to quit gambling?” Her father refuses to give in. So she turns around and shuts down the fighting arena. “Dad, court officials are getting buried in the beasts’ mouths, and you still want to watch them fight?” As they keep at it, her father gradually gets his act together. As they keep at it, the father and daughter grow closer, and life starts looking brighter and brighter. The emperor beams with satisfaction. “My child is destined for greatness!” The villains wail in despair. “The princess has turned everything upside down and even made her father a decent person. How are the rest of us supposed to survive?” All the court and country see is peace and prosperity. “The princess brings blessings to the people, the prince serves his country with diligence and care. Long may the Great Yong dynasty prosper...”
