Unemployed and Playing Online Games, I Made a Minigame That Crashed the Server

In 2044, Jiang Naochuan, freshly unemployed and dumped, is holed up in his rental apartment, playing the newly released global multiplayer game The Imperial Palace on a secondhand brain-computer interface. The game combines demon-slaying, Cthulhu, and political intrigue.

To his surprise, the busted interface accidentally unlocks the highest developer privileges.

Thinking it was just a prank, he casually creates a little cultivation game inspired by Doodle Jump.

Unexpectedly, within minutes it overloads the Qiankun Network servers and forums, bringing renewed buzz to this hundred-billion-dollar game.

But it also draws the attention of various powers.
