A Drizzle That Forgets the Mortal World

The tree-lined path on campus was once etched with the bond between Luo Weiyu and Xiang Chen. The love they never put into words was hidden in the morning light as they walked side by side and tucked into the whispered conversations they shared late at night. It had long since become the deepest mark on each other’s lives. But the cancer diagnosis struck like a bolt of lightning, shattering everything beautiful. Seeing the undisguised affection in Xiang Chen’s eyes, Luo Weiyu knew she had little time left and didn’t want him trapped in a cage of longing for the rest of his life. She used coldness as armor, deliberately distancing herself and backing away at every turn, letting resentment take root between them. She did it only to force him to let go, so he could find a steady, happy life in a world without her.

She succeeded, and yet she failed. An accident made her forget Xiang Chen completely: the young man she had once loved with all her heart and tried with all her might to push away.
