Zhou Xubai✖️Chen Yan
In Ganpu, southern Fujian, the sea breeze is salty and time is sticky.
Chen Yan guards an old oyster shell shop that is on the verge of disappearing. He is the youngest and most silent stone craftsman in the world. His world is built of the incense of ink, old monuments and his grandfather's last wishes. It is impregnable and rejects all noise.
Zhou Xubai is a traffic-chasing travel video blogger, and he lives in his high-speed camera. In order to photograph "endangered skills", he broke into this silence with a drone, but made a mistake and destroyed an orphan rubbing that Chen Yan regarded as his life.
The compensation is sky-high. As a result, the glamorous blogger was forced to stay and became the clumsiest handyman in the old store.
From then on, things started to fly. Zhou Xubai wanted to use his camera to save the old store, but he repeatedly violated Chen Yan's unshakable rules; Chen Yan wanted to get rid of this trouble, but found that he had long been accustomed to the noisy temperature.
The old store is in dire straits and facing demolition; newcomers are faced with the dilemma of staying or leaving, and the distance is calling. When "guarding this place" and "running to the distance" collided fiercely, they discovered that each other was already the "illegal building" in the other's world that could not be demolished.
This is a story about inheritance and flow, persistence and change. See how two incompatible souls tinkered in an ancient oyster shell house, fought against the flow of time together, and unexpectedly filled in the missing corner of each other's lives.
