Mark faces setbacks in the North American esports scene because of his skin color and play style, then signs with China’s Dragonrise team. Starting from scratch, he adapts to the new game Trigger Beyond the Realm, faces off against Kim Seongmin, and navigates cultural barriers as he gradually finds his place. The next part focuses on the Dawnlight team. They start with a winning streak, only to face one crisis after another: commercial events eating into training time, their coach falling ill, and their strategies being countered. Ye Xinglan takes command in the middle of the crisis. Mark transforms from a “pretend carry” into a true core player, and he and Qin Lan build a dual-core system. They overcome internal disagreements, and in the end, the men’s team defends its world championship title while the women’s team wins the first Women’s World Championship. Mark pays off his debts, falls in love with Ye Xinglan and proposes to her, while Xiao Yu confesses his feelings to Qin Su. Through inheritance and perseverance, the team carries on the esports legend.
(The author is terrible at FPS games, and some parts are completely made up. Don’t take them seriously.)
The original intention of writing "Exotic Trigger" was never to simply tell a "wonderful article", but to use e-sports as a carrier to write about a group of "impure" but vivid people - Mark came on stage with the obsession of debt and redemption, Lao Zhou carried the weight of the dignity of the competition area to pave the way, Jin Chengmin used revenge as an edge to break through the wall and grow up, and Lin Xie guarded the player's heart in the traffic whirlpool. I am obsessed with this "unity of opposites": competition is mixed with grudges and perseverance, pure love is hidden in impure obsession, there is no absolute ultimate tactic, only the truth of adaptation and persistence. From single-core to dual-core, to group portraits and rebirth, the story "grows up" with the characters, just like e-sports and life in reality. There is no perfect script, only stumbling persistence. I know that this book is too immature: some plots are too slow, some tactical descriptions are too abstract (this comes from my lack of understanding of FPS games), and some branch plots are not detailed enough. But it carries all my thoughts on e-sports, growth and inheritance. Every character is like a friend who has accompanied me for a while, and every plot hides my understanding of "breaking the wall" and "love". Therefore, even if it has thousands of shortcomings, as an author, I still give it full marks - it is not perfect, but extremely sincere. It is a story written with my heart and belongs to a group of people's passion and perseverance. After thinking about it later, I decided to forget it. I think the shortcomings of my book are still a bit fatal, so I will reduce it by one star. ---(Dividing line)--- That's not right, I am the author, and I can give him as many points as I want! ---(Dividing line)--- I wrote a side story. Because the work has been completed and my writer level is not high enough, I posted it on short stories. If you are interested, you can read it. The title is: "Rui·Lie·Ape"
