Don't Gaze into the Eyes of the Dead

I looked into a corpse's eyes. Now it wants me to pay with my life.

On my first day working part-time at a funeral home, I broke the biggest taboo of feng shui masters.

Blood seeped from my ancestral compass that night, and black lines appeared on my palm that only I could see. In my dreams, a faceless figure in a red raincoat always waits for me on a rain-soaked bridge.

The old master smacked a scientific report against my face. "Hallucinations. Alkaloids from the corpse."

But the evidence on the female corpse screamed otherwise: she died south of the city, so why was she wrapped in aquatic plants from Longyin Lake, twenty kilometers away?

More terrifying still, when I marked every strange incident at the funeral home on a map, they formed an inverted feng shui killing formation enveloping the entire city.

Science explains the symptoms, while the occult confronts the source: this city is one enormous living sacrificial altar.

And the sacrifices are no longer limited to the dead.
