My Army Officer Husband Just Walked In, and I Grabbed a Cleaver to Demand a Divorce

[A tough heroine who'd rather throw a punch than argue VS an elite soldier hero who's clueless at first but becomes a devoted husband]

Ye Qing has arrived in the 1960s, an era of shortages. Faced with a family of vile relatives, she has just two words for them: Kill. Eat!

Her former life's skills as head chef of the imperial kitchen let her turn wild greens into a banquet fit for a state dinner. Her former life's skills as leader of the imperial guards mean she can wield a kitchen knife with the force of an assault rifle!

Just as she's driven her in-laws to tears and is sitting by the door sharpening her knife before splitting up the family property

her military officer husband, Lu Ye, walks in after being out of contact for three years.

He expected to find a gentle little wife. Instead, he sees his mother wailing, his sister-in-law begging for mercy, and his own wife holding a knife, with the grease from braised pork still at the corner of her mouth!

Ye Qing shoots him a cold look and slaps the cleaver down on the table. “What are you staring at? Since you're back, go get the paperwork from the brigade. We're getting divorced!”

Lu Ye looks at his wife's skin-and-bones wrists and her relatives, slick with grease on the floor. Burning with rage, he hoists her over his shoulder.

“Divorced? Who took your allowance? I'll break their bones and make you soup with them!”
