Live Commentary: Why Are All My Viewers Emperors?

Lin Fan, a junior college graduate working 996, suddenly drops dead in his rented apartment. When he wakes up, he finds an app called “Past and Present Livestream” on his phone. As long as he completes tasks, he can earn cash rewards.

Lin Fan immediately starts a livestream. His first major task is to take stock of veteran actors’ TV dramas, beginning with a commentary on The Story of Minglan.

What he doesn’t know is that in the parallel world, a sky screen has descended over every historical era, and his livestream is being broadcast across the dynasties.

Zhu Yuanzhang: “What do you mean, Emperor Yongle Zhu Di? Five dragons ruling together? The Emperor Who Summoned the Gate? I’ll skin him alive!”

Li Shimin: “What do you mean, Chengqian is going to rebel? Guanyin Bi, hear me out!”

Ying Zheng: “What do you mean, my Great Qin will fall in its second generation? Zhao Gao, Li Si, you despicable scoundrels!”

Emperor Wu of Han, Liu Che: “Crown Prince Liu Ju… Have I grown old enough to become an evil dragon too?”

As the tips pour in and the livestream’s popularity soars, King Zhou of Shang, King Wu of Zhou, even the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, the mighty gods of Heaven, and the Buddhas of the Buddhist realm all crowd into one tiny livestream room.
