Psychologist Lin Yimo wakes up and is trapped in a "thriller game" and forms a team with amnesia fighter Su Waner and detective Chen Jianguo to survive. They discovered that the game feeds on fear and is broadcast around the world. As the story goes deeper, Lin Yimo faces the family curse, Su Wan'er's memory awakens her ability, and Chen Jianguo traces the connection between the game and real-life unsolved cases. They will be forced to choose between betrayal, memory mazes and rule paradoxes, and ultimately challenge the origins of the game, deciding whether to destroy the system or become the "night watchers" guarding reality.
