Shen, Your Secret Crush Is Showing

The best part of this book is that you're watching from an all-knowing perspective.

You know Shen Du decided Lin Wan was the one when he was seven, at the hospital.

You know he played "Evening Breeze" for ten years, every song meant for her.

You know he set out two hot drinks, wrote hundreds of notes, and spent three weeks knitting a scarf.

You know he held back for fourteen years, waiting for Lin Wan to say, "I like you."

But you also know this:

From the very first day Lin Wan sat beside him,

she knew everything.

She watched him act.

Watched him pretend.

Watched him hide all his devotion behind "I was passing by" and "What a coincidence."

She said nothing.

She was waiting, too.

Waiting for this man who'd held it in for fourteen years to finally give himself away first.
