Huo Yao died, and then she came back to life.
She became a person who might never have existed in history, more than two thousand years ago.
"Young Lady?" her maid called softly and cautiously.
Huo Yao, still stunned that she seemed to have transmigrated, came back to her senses and let out a huge sigh of relief. A young lady, not bad. That was a pretty good status.
But once Huo Yao figured out exactly who she was, she completely lost it. She pointed at herself in disbelief, her voice trembling. "Me? The Han Dynasty's Lady Chaoyang?"
The maid nodded.
"My father is Champion Marquis Huo Qubing?"
The maid said, "The current Champion Marquis is your elder brother, who serves His Majesty as an Imperial Carriage Commandant. Your father was the late Grand Marshal, Cavalry General, and Champion Marquis Jinghuan."
Heavens! Huo Yao, a lifelong superfan of Champion Marquis Huo Qubing, burst into loud sobs, tears and snot streaming down her face.
The heavens were really playing a cruel joke on her. They let her become the Champion Marquis's daughter, only to have her arrive after the Champion Marquis had already died.
Her dashing, spirited Champion Marquis! The Champion Marquis she'd always dreamed of meeting!
The maid thought: The young lady must have remembered her late father and grown sad again. Understandable.
"Please don't be so sad, my lady. Although the Cavalry General passed away young, His Majesty dotes on you and the young lord. He even plans to take the young lord along when he goes to offer sacrifices to Heaven and perform the Feng and Shan sacrifices."
The maid thought those words would be comforting, but Huo Yao was stunned.
What? The Feng and Shan sacrifices?
No way!
Leaping up from her deathbed, Huo Yao decided to put aside her heartbroken sobs over missing her idol for now.
She had to save her brother, who was about to die young.
Then she'd make a name for herself and become the coolest kid in the Han Dynasty.
Still following the big book [grass has been planted][grass has been planted][grass has been planted]
I went to find out that the author has written another book about Huo Qubing. Since the first two books are very good, I will give them five stars before reading them.
