Detective Conan: The Rooftop and the Tower

CP: Guanyue, an original heroine who is a shinigami like the one in Black Butler, × Hiromitsu Morofushi, who turns dark after shooting himself on a rooftop and falling

Content warning: The world leans toward the dark side. Hiro is a victim of dealings in money and power, and likewise, Rei Furuya will be more morally gray.

[Many original elements!]

Hiromitsu Morofushi is a very gentle, empathetic, and polite person.

No one would doubt that Hiromitsu Morofushi would make a good police officer. He even treats criminals equally, believing that all lives are equal.

Hiromitsu Morofushi never regretted choosing to take his own life on that rooftop to protect the friend he cherished. By then, he had no other choice.

But it seemed he still had many regrets, keeping his soul from disappearing from that rooftop for a long, long time.

Bound there alone, year after year, one day he felt as if he had dreamt a very long dream.

In the dream, all his friends had died, leaving only Zero. And in the end, Zero seemed unable to escape the darkness either. He too had been sold to the darkness because the son of a high-ranking official had taken a liking to him.

Consumed by resentment, Hiromitsu Morofushi remembered. He remembered why he had chosen to die: he had no other choice...

As Guanyue went about her shinigami duties mechanically, day after day, the spiritual idleness inevitably led her to ponder deeply philosophical questions.

Are life and death really irreversible? Must people follow the paths laid out for them, like scenes flashing before their eyes?

An accident brought a shinigami with the power to alter pivotal moments face-to-face with a repressed, despairing soul trapped in a chaotic, disordered timeline.
