In the ten years from 1985 to 1995, there was a collision between the drastic changes in Chinese society and traditional metaphysics. The protagonist, Lin Qinghe, unexpectedly inherits the mantle of the Geomancer passed down from his family, and becomes involved in a Feng Shui secret that spans thousands of years and is related to the fate of the country. He seeks a balance between science and superstition, protection and change, and finally solves the family curse and completes the mission of the "Geomancer" of the times.
