Washing Cars Makes Me Stronger, Auntie, I Don't Want to Work Hard!

During winter break in my sophomore year of college, I became a lowly car washer.

Who knew that every time I washed a car, a line of text would pop up before my eyes: “Cleaning standard met. Attribute point +1.”

Rich Porsche-driving ladies and Range Rover socialites kept stopping by to say, “You did a great job washing the car, young man. Want to add me on WeChat?”

I looked at the message from my girlfriend, who’s a civil servant: “Meet my parents tonight.” Then I glanced at the stream of invitations from rich women popping up on my phone.

Yikes... Should I take this detour or not?
