You Owe Me Two Million? I'll Hunt You Down in Sanlia?

A month ago, Chen Ping was a renovation contractor with hundreds of thousands flowing through his hands, a firm believer that hard work brought prosperity.

A month later, the developer absconded with 20 million yuan, his seriously ill sister was forced to stop taking her medication, and his workers surrounded him, demanding their wages.

His bank account held 87.5 yuan, the last shred of dignity he had as a “civilized person.”

When his boss sent a mocking video from war-torn “Sanglia,” embracing a young model and brandishing an AK, something inside Chen Ping snapped.

“An international case is hard to handle? No problem. I'll handle it myself.”

“It's a war zone, so the law doesn't apply? Great. I'm best at ignoring the law.”

He sells his only home and flies alone to the lawless region.

On the first day after landing, he disables a robber with a ballpoint pen and steals a car.

On the second day, he makes fertilizer explosives and gives a warlord one hell of a “firework.”

On the third day, he nails a military knife through his boss's hand and pulls out the bloodstained IOU. “With interest, are you paying by card or with your life?”

From a warlord's estate in Sanglia, to scam compounds in northern Myanmar, to the dark-web conglomerates that control the world.

The world is stunned to discover that the elite mercenary group shaking the globe began as a renovation crew trying to get its hard-earned wages back.

Chen Ping stands atop a mountain of his enemies' corpses and lights a cigarette. “Don't get me wrong. I never meant to save the world. I'm just here to collect a debt.”
