Silly Zhu from the Siheyuan: From the Start

In 1957, before the courtyard house had erupted into the chaos that would follow, and before Sha Zhu’s tragic life had even begun, modern man He Dazhu transmigrates into the body of the young man, who has yet to be worn down by hardship.

The old Sha Zhu let everyone push him around. The new He Dazhu sees things clearly. Now that he knows how the story goes, why would he repeat the same mistakes? If Yang Gu dares to call him Sha Zhu, he’ll fire back with “Yang Sanding.” No one gets the upper hand with cheap insults. Yi Zhonghai plots every which way to turn him into a retirement plan, but to He Dazhu, those schemes are child’s play, and he sees through them all. Qin Huairu comes along with her three children, throwing herself at him, but He Dazhu just scoffs. With so many lovely young women around, who would set his sights on a married woman with three kids, especially one destined to become a widow?

From then on, the old schemers in the courtyard are left utterly dumbfounded. The clueless Sha Zhu is gone, replaced by He Dazhu, who won’t be swayed by either threats or enticements! Scheming? He sees right through it. Trying to latch on? Get lost. Watch He Dazhu, armed with his knowledge of the future, expose the hypocrisy of everyone in this courtyard of intrigue, take each step with care, and live life on his own terms as he completely rewrites Sha Zhu’s miserable fate!
