The Evening Breeze Kissed the Old Windowsill: Lu Shiyan and Su Wan

In college, Lu Shiyan and the heroine were the couple everyone envied. Just before graduation, her father suddenly fell gravely ill and needed an enormous sum for surgery, while the family business was plunged into crisis. He was forced to accept a proposed arranged marriage, though it never went ahead. At the same time, he believed someone’s lies and thought the heroine had left him for fame and fortune. In the end, he was the one who asked to break up, shouldering all the pressure alone. Lu Shiyan’s coldness and resolve wounded her deeply. She tried to ask him why, but he deliberately avoided her, and she eventually left her hometown with regrets to seek opportunities elsewhere…At their wedding, Lu Shiyan says in his speech, “Ten years ago, I lost her. For the rest of my life, I’ll protect her.” Su Wan replies through tears, “Thank you for waiting so long for me.”
