Passionate Years: Back to 1997 to Become a Carpenter

[A period novel featuring everyday life, business, farming, raising children, and the little troubles of family life.]

[An everyday story about ordinary city folk facing the changes of the times!

Not much face-slapping, just the hope of working step by step toward a better life!]

Lin Xiao died suddenly of a cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 49. He was the only man in the family.

In other people’s eyes, he was an unrealistic dreamer, a smooth talker, and a shameless flatterer. He’d started countless businesses, but in the end, he had nothing to show for it.

His friends looked down on him, and his relatives thought little of him. Yet when they heard he had passed away, they couldn’t help feeling a pang of regret.

What a shame!

Sigh, so what is the meaning of life, anyway?

But then, one day, Lin Xiao returned to 1997.

It was the same familiar home, but he was no longer the delinquent boy he’d once been.

In his previous life, he’d been an incompetent middle-aged man in everyone’s eyes, a smooth-talking old layabout.

This time, he wanted to make a fresh start. But why was it so... difficult?

He hadn’t amounted to much in his previous life, and he had no grand dreams or ambitions in this one, either.

He just wanted to make up for his regrets, live happily with his wife, and keep his family safe and content.

Heaven, please give me one more chance to start over!
